Here are some of my few pictures of people. I like to catch the moment of surprise in the action of the isolated subject, which tells a story.

An image tells me a narrative where the years got the feeling and transfer to an object. Again and again, I have this tendency to put apart something else. This issue of isolation and observation is, to me, a way to create a new context.

The first work space was located on Linienstrasse. After four years, I relocated to Skalizerstrasse, and now my atelier is at Katzbachstrasse 9. There, I am continuously working on projects and creating exhibitions.

Here are some of my paintings. I use oil color on variated support, like a wood panel or paper.

Sailing many days on a vast, greenish-blue ocean can affect one’s perception of the majesty and lordliness of the mighty Amazon River. As I sailed in from the Ocean onto the Amazon, my first impression was not so grand. The Amazon’s colour is reddish and reminds me of an impressive flood in the area where I lived as a child. But when one looks from a satellite, the image is of a great contest between two Gods, fighting each other for more space. The phenomena is a visual display contrasting that mighty conflict. As we passed along the Amazon on our journey to Manaus, it was clear to me the erosion happening to the greatest river of South America, in the largest drainage system in the World, in terms of the volume of its flow and the massive area of the river’s drainage. It is spectacular!

I capture all the involved in the scene. I isolate things and give them a meaning. They start to tell me stories. Storytelling travels through time and space. I can live the moment and capture the feelings, at least those correlated to my unique experience of the moment.

Pictures from the show “Amazonia” which is based on popular folklore from the Amazon Area.

In my morning routine, I walk through the City, and every time I see it from another point of view. I have taken thousands of pictures, often from the same place or of the same subject. The more I do, the more I see—so many points of view!

It is my first exhibition in my new space in Katzbachstrasse 9. Also, my first photographic exhibition. The photos follow a composition order, and also, here I use the measurement of how the photograph should be framed.
